Replica IWC’s new models: A tribute to Goodwood

IWC Schaffhausen has unveiled three iconic models as a tribute to motorsports, Goodwood, a hub for motorsport enthusiasts in England, and legendary classic car racer Rudolf Caracciola.

 

Good is home to annual meetings, festivals and races that attract crowds from around the world.

 

The new models derive inspiration from the Ingenieur family and uniquely house the new in-house 69370 calibre, which debuts in all three models.

 

“This first version of the 69000 calibre family takes our in-house movement expertise to another level and sets new standards regarding quality, ruggedness and reliability,” explains Thomas Gäumann, head of In-House Movement Development at IWC Schaffhausen Replica Watches.

 

The calibre comprises more than 200 components and has a built-up power reserve of 46 hours.

 

The three special replica watches models were first unveiled last March during the 74^th Goodwood Members’ Meeting.

 

Ingenieur Chronograph Edition “74^th Members’ Meeting at Goodwood”

Only 74 pieces of this iconic timepiece are available. It pays tribute to the iconic motorsport event held every year in south of England.

 

The timepiece features a solid red gold case, measuring 42mm in diameter and inspired by a case created earlier by Gérald Genta, the founder of the Ingenieur family.

 

A black dial lies within the case, along with two totalisers for small seconds and a tachymeter scale inspired by the dashboard of a gutsy sports car.

 

A brown calfskin strap is attached to the case to complete the elegant and luxurious replica watch.

 

Inegnieur Chronograph Edition “Rudolf Caracciola”

 

This timepiece is available in 750 pieces and is dedicated to the legendary racing driver Rudolf Caracciola, the winner of three European Drivers’ Championships in the late 1930s.

 

The timepiece comes in a stainless-steel case, with rhodium-plated hands and a slate-coloured dial that imitates the look of historic race cars that carried Caracciola from one victory to the next.

 

While the heart of sports informs the dial of this timepiece, the brown calfskin strap provides an element of elegance and balance.

 

Inegnieur Chronograph Edition “W 125”

 

This timepiece takes the theme of the Mercedes-Benz W 125 Silver Arrow racing car, designed by Rudolf Uhlenhaut back in the 1930s.

 

It comes in a titanium case, with a silver-plated dial, black hands and appliqués, along with a black calfskin strap.

 

This timepiece is also limited to 750 pieces.

 

All three timepieces will be available for sale across IWC Replica boutiques in the Middle East this October.
