IWC Schaffhausen Crafts One Of A Kind Portuguese Automatic Watch

The IWC Replica brand has had longstanding involvement in the film industry. This year, the company has extended that relationship by forming a new partnership with the Tribeca Film Festival, which kicked off April 17, 2013 and runs through April 28, 2013. Robert DeNiro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff founded the festival in 2002 in an effort to boost the economy and culture of lower Manhattan following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Since its creation, the festival has generated an estimated $750 million for the city’s economy and has supported the community by enhancing their exposure to the international film arena. Over the past eleven years, the festival has attracted an international audience of more than 4 million attendees and screened over 1,400 films from over 80 countries. Fake IWC’s collaboration with the Tribeca Film Festival is truly a celebration of the American spirit; the brand was founded by American engineer and watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones, a native of Boston.

IWC One of a Kind

In commemoration of the new partnership, IWC crafted a one-of-a-kind Portuguese Automatic. The platinum timepiece has a grey dial inspired by the skyline of New York, City, bordeaux subdials to mimic the red carpet, rose gold hands and numerals, and a custom rotor. The watch also features a Pellaton winding system, date display, 7-day power reserve, and a sapphire case back with a gold medallion that displays the Tribeca Film Festival logo. The exclusive Portuguese Automatic was auctioned at Antiquorum in New York on April 10, 2013, and sold for $60,000, which is more than twice the high estimate for the watch. All of the proceeds from the sale benefit the festival’s non-profit affiliate, the Tribeca Film Institute. IWC also unveiled the Portuguese Automatic Edition Tribeca Film Festival 2013 in a limited edition of 100 pieces. This newest addition to the Portuguese family of replica watches draws inspiration from the one-of-a-kind Portuguese Automatic but replaces the platinum and rose gold with stainless steel.
